A cheerful festive penguin in a santa hat with a Christmas tree in the falling snow.
The Christmas tree is decorated with individually fired balls of red glass along with a colourful mix of metallic dichroic glass that catch the light.
Each penguin has been crafted from 9 pieces of hand cut coloured glass, making each one an individual character. Penguins will vary in height between 5cm and 2.5cm tall.
 
This freestanding fused glass curve can be displayed on a window ledge, mantelpiece or as a table centrepiece. It looks fantastic in natural sunlight, or with candles or fairy lights placed behind it. The Christmas tree in particular benefits from some lighting from behind so the red baubles and green of the foliage shine.
 
Each piece is unique and made by hand in my Hampshire studio.
 
 This standing curve is 16cm wide and 9cm tall.
